The Penn State Alumni Association

What’s been happening:

After 23 years of teaching US History to junior high school students, I left the classroom and began working with Alzheimer's patients. For the past 14 years I've been working in skilled nursing and assisted living, providing quality activity programs for these patients, training staff to work with the residents and training program directors. Recently retired, I continue work a few days each month as a consultant providing training for staff in buildings throughout Pennsylvania and Maryland. The local Alzheimer's Association is the focus of my volunteer work and I am serving as chairman for the 2009 Memory Walk fundraising event. A 36 year member of The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International,an honor society for outstanding women educators, I was honored in 2008 with the Pennsylvania State organization's Achievement Award. My husband, David, and I have been married for 39 years. We have one son, Patrick. He and his wife, Monica, have 2 beautiful daughters. Grandparenthood is a wonderful occupation!
